“No matter where you are in Wisconsin, affordable housing is becoming harder to find. Housing costs are rising fast enough without letting landlords use computer-aided illegal price-fixing schemes. Skyrocketing housing costs are hurting our economy – making it hard for employers to attract and retain workers, reducing people’s spending power and financial security, and increasing homelessness. This legislation will help stop big tech companies from ripping off Wisconsin renters.”

“The man responsible for overturning Roe [v. Wade] and making this country a hellscape for women now hopes we’re too stupid to remember Donald Trump … packed the federal judiciary with anti-abortion extremists,”

KELDA ROYS IS ON A MISSION TO NOT LET DONALD TRUMP MISLEAD VOTERS ON HIS ABORTION RECORD

In this week’s Capitol Chats episode, Joint Finance Committee member and Sen. Kelda Roys, D-Madison, talks about her vote against the state budget and criticizes Republicans’ approach to the budget process.

WHY SENATOR ROYS VOTED AGAINST THE 2025 STATE BUDGET

Technology has enormous potential to deliver better services more equitably, but it also has potential risks and downsides. Like all tools or products, technology needs to be designed safely and regulated to protect consumers – especially kids – from harm. Right now, however, big tech companies are given free reign to endlessly chase profits by harming children as their brains are developing, with no guardrails. As a tech entrepreneur and a skeptic of Big Tech, I understand the opportunities and challenges that AI and other rapidly developing technologies are creating for policymakers and our society at large.
